What It Is

The Waiting Room is our weekly open mic. It is a place to get reps, build confidence, and work out new material in front of people who are actually listening.

Thinking about trying stand-up for the first time? You are welcome here. New comics are encouraged and mixed right in.

How It Works

We run a bucket mic. Comics who sign up before 8:00 PM put their name into the bucket. Once the show begins, names are pulled at random.
Set length is determined by the number of comics who sign up.
To remain eligible for the bucket the following week, you must stay until the end of the bucket.

Why

We pull names at random so the same people are not always up first and the same new comics are not always last.
We close sign ups at 8:00 PM so the night stays short enough to sit through and actually pay attention.
Staying through the bucket keeps the room full for everyone. Including you.
